@Beregorn I could see there being a dungeon effect to make gunpowder not burn but the author really should explain it.

Okay... so they're poor, right? YET they left the TV on the whole time even when not watching. You don't do that when poor. Electricity will skyrocket. Another thing. 5 minutes makes no sense even they were to exaggerate. Why? Just walking alone from one floor to another would be more than that. Not to mention all the talking they do and fighting.
