This has been really great! It's such a refresher reading these 2 and I'm excited as hell to see how it goes. I think the biggest aspects that make their relationship feel so fun to read are:
the lack of focus on the idea of romance itself and trying to define their relationship in words, and putting more focus towards showing their day-to-day relationship

treating intimacy/sexuality and physical closeness super casually (chapter 2 was my favourite)

akane feels incredibly down to earth; both her and aoi don't really hold back or feel shyness no matter what they're talking about or doing and she doesn't feel like shes put on much of a pedestal (they can trade insults or banter with eachother, and unlike a lot of other manga there's very little focus on how beautiful or popular she is)

most of the manga is pure dialouge; there's very little interruptions with long stretches of thought bubbles so the conversations flow great
