This was on Staff Picks. It was a compelling read, but honestly really, really sad.
None of the kids deserved this. Everything was because of the adults.
Even Tooru's behaviour, since he did it as a result of being abused by his mother.
So, so, so sad.
Good manga though!

If there exists a slice of life series of just a bunch of kids living at an orphanage, with their wholesome relationships and sad backstories etc, please let me know.

And of course,by the end of it all,the Yakuza got away with it.
Which was probably the major selling point for starting business with Kyoujou to begin with,he offered to have the bodies disposed in such a way that would keep them well away from it.
I doubt he ever even told them who was actually disposing the bodies,but they didn't care to ask since it was easy enough to do.
Hopefully Sachie herself lived on more smoothly,no longer under the blood lust of her elder brother.
