^ Fully agreed. This was definitely a story that pivots around sex, as both a concept and an activity. I haven't reread this in a bit, but I remember I was honestly impressed that this title takes a lot of time to really give time to how the social perception and pressures that both the MCs felt affected their experiences with each other. If I recall, the early story dwells on things like gendered expectations vs reality, how to make an informed decision when you're inexperienced, and even what giving and taking look like in a romantic and sexual relationship.
I can't remember my exact feelings on the later arcs bc I definitely feel like the current arc, to me, feels out of place with all the things I just mentioned. But I do think those earlier parts of this series definitely shows a lot of care in the writing and it tried taking a shot at complex matters. It's not a masterpiece I'd push onto others, but I think it's pretty interesting and not badly made for what it is. It actually left an impression on me long enough to write all this, I guess.
I dunno, my thought reading this was that it'd be cool to read more manga that writes it like this. Different libidos, different sexual needs, etc. after your first times are all also actually pretty realistic issues, and figuring out how to compromise or work around them in realistic ways is actually kinda hot? It's like, if fiction has the power to explore what could be when things aren't just super toxic or ecchi situations, I'd personally enjoy reading experimental stuff like that once in a while too.
