Well, compared to other places, Japan - while not perfect - is probably one of the few places where something like race doesn't really matter. That said, if elves in this story age at the same rate as every other archetypical elf does (i.e. at a snails pace), I can understand why she'd be worried. The only way I've seen that particular trope implemented correctly in a modern setting would have to be Otaku Elf, but that also has it's own problems and I ain't gonna yap about that now.I don’t get her deal.
