I mean, if you're gonna have a giant space princess in your story, you might as well use the concept.

I think as long as alien stuff becomes just one of the multiple story threads running through this series, and not the main plot, it could be a lot of fun! This series seems to me to be fundamentally be about navigating the asymmetricalities of realationships, and learning to how to deal with people different from yourself. So far, it's gone out of it's way to introduce all sorts of different characters and different relationships, and I think introducing an alien who has known Lulu in a very different context to the rest of the characters, and for a much longer time, fits in pretty well with what the series has established so far.

I was wondering if they were going to keep alien number 2 in the story. I wasn't really a fan of it in the ones shot because it made it feel like there was too much going on and it felt busy but i chocked that up to being the fault of how short the one shot was. I’m glad that the rest of the story got a bit more time to breathe before her intro but I still feel like it’s a bit much for right now. But what do I know I’m a terrible writer and the manga is still fire.

Unless some sort of non-standard physics are in play, pretty sure throwing that guy off the ship wouldn't make an appreciable difference (sure, it would provide a teensy bit of extra acceleration if you threw him to the direction where they came from, but when I say "teensy" I do mean "small enough that any time saved/lost would likely be difficult to measure").

Love to see another tall woman introduced. We're gonna catch up with the one-shot pretty soon, and I wonder if it'll continue from that point. There's a lot of potential for more yuri here.
