wonderful
from them simply ignoring the "saintess" at the end
to how the queen gets multiple page-width panels, really empathizes her impact and importance
i must say i like this chapter
(hopefully there won't be some cheap more drama plottwist for this conflict)

Dad kinda gives me "enabler" vibes for some reason. I kinda feel like he's part of the reason Prince Doucheington has turned out how he has.
Royal and other high ranking parents would leave that to tutors and the various servants for the most part. I'm pretty sure, given that noble women ran the household while noble men were expected to be more outwardly focused, the education of the royal children would be her responsibility, in the sense of making sure that servants were doing their jobs properly.

Not to mention she apparently ignored this for years (no chance there weren't guards around them at all times, who would report that the MC is being abused) and only now does she do something. However, I'm sure the author ignored all this and will depict this in a very different manner.

the original servants refused to support lunaria until she stood up for herself, following her mothers wishes, the queen could have been equally spartan

or the servants were more loyal to the prince/king and kept their mouths shut to reap the benefits once he was king

LMAO SHE GOT THE FUCKING QUEEN ON HER SIDE? YOU GO GIRL GET THEIR ASSES

Thanks for the chapter

As a note, the original main story as an adaptation ended with chapter 33 last month (completely adapting the WN), but this is getting a 2nd part which is completely manga original, with the original author not being involved on it

Note from the author in syosetu
Sweet
I hope part 2 goes well

The original servants were still servants of the family. It was still a trash development, but there is a difference between a servant being unable to do anything until someone higher up says "enough" and the queen letting things slide until the entire thing comes to light in public.

The thing with dragging out the game against the dumb bitch duo so long is that it just became increasingly ridiculous to see people, or rather the mood of the room, I guess, side with them still. It's all another type of plot armor that Lunaria and the readers have had to suffer through for all this time, with so little of anything else interesting going in.

The villains never actually put up a fair, satisfying fight here, yet things have taken weeks and months of chapters to even begin to resolve. This didn't have much of the same feeling of cleverness from either side as the other Ace Attorney fights.

Mom moment was pretty good.
I think the author knows they should be heading towards resolution now. They dragged it out, as you say, and... It's getting kinda hard to keep getting invested.

Its just reader's fatigue. We feel nothing more and want it to be resolved as soon as possible.

You have to hand it to the author, though. They've crafted a scenario that seems nearly inescapable for the main character, and they managed to write a glorious smackdown of logic and reasoning that has been, in no way, shape, or form, any sort of ass pull.

Well, maybe the drug was a bit of an ass pull, but at the very least we've known of Riburu's character for some time now.

It took a while, but we got there. And boy oh boy, we get to see the Big Mamma whipping out the Royal Chankla of Discipline in the next chapter.

Especially when he yelled at his mother to shut up, "Do you know Who I am!?" trying to pull rank like that, when your mother is the heckler in the crowd. lol
Was that the mother/queen who said, "But that alone isn't ..."? There wasn't even a silhouette of her in that panel, and later it was found their crowns were peeking out of the balcony, meaning they were very high up in the auditorium. I guess we would have to see in the next chapter.

Also, for introducing the king and queen of a country, I think 'Their royal majesties' would be more appropriate, while 'highness' is usually for the prince/princess, but eh, I've seen these get mixed up a bunch of times, so maybe I don't know better.

Still, going to look forward to see mommy talk down on her spoiled brat for once.
