i might be wrong, but i would not have thought aluminium shovels were durable. Sure, i can see them being handy at shoveling loose soil. But if you were going to use them to dig into the ground, they would get easily damaged.

@Nukkuva - Depends on how it is made. Aluminum can be combined with other materials to make something just as strong as steel with less than half the weight. Considering this girl miniaturized a nuclear fission reactor I'm not gonna put it past her to find a way to make really strong aluminum for cheap.
