@GalladeGuy You do remember how much crap they bought in the town, right? A lot of that was for stuff that inventor girl would need. Someone making things like she is would've needed copper for a lot of things. That's also just assuming the don't have any copper deposits elsewhere near the village. The only identified resource in that regard was the bauxite where the plane crashed. There's kind of a crap ton more land around.
