Yeah, well... movie Thanos is dumb.Unironically making everyone (or at least sentient beings. Perhaps butchering one cow can feed a whole city) 1/6 size makes a bajillion times more sense than Thanos killing 1/2 of the universe... and actually cuts down MORE than his original plan.
You know, it wasn't really clear to me if he was just shrinking people, or also turn them into figurines (which would be dumb). I must've missed that if the latter was the case. I think I'll reread once... this series is over, which would be soon.Yeah, well... movie Thanos is dumb.
Also, this would be a permanent solution. We can extrapolate from the no need to eat or poo that animated figures are still FIGURES. They're plastic, and thus... infertile. There will be no population increase afterwards to fill the newly-created void. Only a slow decline due to predation, accidents, and self-deletion. A lingering and inexorable extinction.
(Without getting too philosophical about whether animated figures are truly the original person or not. It could be a much faster extinction as the full-size humans are removed to be replaced with their 1/6 replicas, but the series would like us to ignore this argument.)
They're still plastic, or whatever material was used to make them. Subaru confirmed that on her first appearance from the original series. At the same time they're also not.Well they're not plastic I don't think, given all we've seen of the lewd scenes and how their "skin" is pliable.
The endgame here is fun, I don't think it's been rushing. I hope they all end up happy.

Well, the reason the plan sucked is pretty obvious... it was never about saving people, it was about his ego.Yeah, well... movie Thanos is dumb.
