Hmmm, this chapter was a quite a bit more serious all of a sudden.
I mean, I know that at the start of the manga, he said that this was a very hard game, but even so...
Slavery and gangr4p3 being mentioned as common and then this frivolous village thing. I mean, I get it and I am somewhat glad, yet surprised that they know of the issue of inbreeding, but still.
This is quite a bit of a different tone to all the 'fun and games' chapters before this one.
Though I guess I am most upset with the r4p3 thing, because I just hate that, no matter how 'realistic' it may be in whichever setting a manga is supposed to be presented...

I really hate this "Killing murderers is bad" trope that is prevalent in so many mangas. The retard MCs should be tied up, forced on their knees and get donkey kicked in the nuts for every death indirectly caused by letting murderers and rapists get away. I don't understand at all how so many authors even think that, willingly letting murderers escape, is a good personality trait for MCs. Actual brain rot.

Lots of people who don't realise how hard it is to kill actual people. Even if he kills sentient beings similar to humans. He also got told off for it, meaning that according to the manga, those bandits should be killed, and the MC is wrong. MC needed to grow up, and this is a good way to do it.

However, it's still BS that a guard mission would fail because he didn't kill all the bandits. It's a guard mission, not a bandit extermination mission. The goal is to guard the merchant. Killing bandits is on top of that, which is good, but a different priority. Not to mention, they (or at least that one guy) lay all the blame on him, suggesting that the rest of them were too incompetent to kill the bandits, but apparently that's all on the MC.
