He was an aviation engineer. That's why he created the aircraft as soon as possible, and it was also used to explain how he could create it. However, every random Japanese person picked from the streets knows exactly and down to the last detail how Russian guns work, so it's cool. Not unrealistic at all.

Don't worry guys, he actually made a plane and accidently ended up in afganistan where he spent the next 20 years working for the resistance to both make guns and fight. This is why he can create a bunch of different russian guns, while previously stated that he needed to have a deep understanding of whatever he wants to create and thus the author dropped the fact that he was an aviation engineer to explain how he created a plane, so yea, no plot holes here guys.
At least he finally made a shotgun, now if only he had made a sniper rifle so he can more easily deal with a big bird.

Well, to be honest AK-47 is not that complicated, and could be remembered. And both other guns are basically AK-47 with different caliber and a few tweaks for that. Not that I miss like 2 panels where MC says he was going to the gun range like once a month and was agonising over gun blueprints, that author could have made in "low res".
