In the WN, Allen basically makes one huge mistake that pissed me off so much that I dropped it, and then went back and picked it up later.
He spent all this time doing the "Batman would win, with enough preparation", but he overlooked the Saintess items.
He was meticulous as fuck, why would he make such a glaring error? It made no sense whatsoever, it was completely out of character for him, so I had to rage-quit the book for a while.
If he'd secured the Saintess Items during his prep phase, so much pointless shit could have been avoided.
This pissed me off so fucking much because he didn't want to fucking die, he didn't want his mother to fucking die, he didn't want his Ana to fucking die, he didn't want his country to be ravaged by war, so all he had to do was be like, "These are the items that the Saintess needs, better hang on to them, just in case"
because the Saintess is obviously the fucking adversary, right? The whole conflict comes from the fight between the Saintess and Anastasia. Why not secure the Saintess items in advance? But he didn't, and that made his entire "I invented guns, I invented planes, I took all the cool shit before the plot advanced" Batman shit irrelevant.
Also, I have a question for the others who have read the WN, because I can't remember:
Is this the story where the manipulative girl ends up as a AIDS-riddled cumdump and dies in slavery? Or is that a completely different story?

Another big mistake Allen made was revealing his secret that he was a reincarnator to Amy. Because of this, Amy used a different approach to deal with Allen. Amy's ignorance of Allen's origins was actually one of Allen's advantages, and he threw it away. After this, Amy became more serious.

Yeah it's a good look. But I've liked that Ana always dresses appropriately for the situation unlike the other royals. It shows a maturity that the others lack.

This is something I have always admired about Anastasia. This and the fact that she always has her shit together, always thinks rationally and never lets her emotions stupidly take over.

Best example: back in chapter 23, at the end of the duel, she even chose to stay behind and perform damage control instead of running after Allen before he vanished. Simply because at that very moment, nobody else could do it on her behalf, and she perfectly knew it.

I've always seen her as a male mindset installed in a top tier female body. Nothing wrong this that, though, as some say this is the very recipe to create the dream GF.

And at the end of the current chapter, she started mentionning her daily life under Karl's engagement... OMG everything is coming together ! She basically used to act as a supervisor / NCO for the castle's personnel. That is just the result of her previous job experience...

Seriously, this is how you write a character. Many authors should take a lesson from it. The more I read this manga, the more I love it. It's like a slow cooker that in the end delivers the finest meal.
So bad for all the early haters who maybe preferred ready-in-3-minutes microwaved junk food.

Later on allen failed to locate the carriage anna is in and as he promised the duke, he volunteered to go to war with enemy country then got sent to the frontlines to rake up achievements where he does some "magical carpet bombing" with his vtol, driving the warzone into pure chaos. (ps: he got special order from the king himself to capture a territory they haven't been able to capture for so long and the reward is anything he desires wink wink)

Later with the help of jerome and his wife he managed to locate anna, the enemy country tried to corrupt her but failed because of the hairpin from that lolicon spirit but they managed to drive her into a coma. He came back home with enemy country's magic general and crown prince heads.

shit happens and he came back with ramslett territory attacked by another country, he carpet bombed them for obstructing him to carry anna back home. He also managed to win over anna's dad to give her to allen by king's special order and the heads of the crown prince and magic general. Later allen become somewhat like a general or a hero of the ramslett territory turned newly established kingdom. And then next because of amy turned witch of charm or smth he ends up having to save the world from her.

Spoiler: regarding anna's recovery

anna won't wake up for such a long time that is on her birthday when allen took out that legendary sword she plan to gift her with. It managed to open up her soul that she closed off because of the cursed sword.

Remember how the end is supposed to be with anna got raped as criminal slave? Amy ends up having that end instead with her voice sealed so she can't charm anyone anymore
