@Owyn You screw them over with the truth, just like the Fey in the Dresden Files.

@Baraka Most of them give me a two guys vibe, or the yuri is way too shoujo-like, this MCs masculinity is still going strong!

Alright, I was too tired yesterday. but I found a few, and like I said there aren't many puppet masters like Light Yagami (Death Note or Lelouch (Code Geass) out there, unfortunately.

Most People just really never get tired of the same old tropes, look up: Idiot Hero, All-Loving Hero, Socially-Awkward Hero, and Chaste Hero on TV tropes, they're goddamn everywhere.

So these are the ones with straight up manipulative protagonists that I liked:

Here are some cunning/smart protagonists that I liked:

My favorite part of any isekai is the protagonist telling the people of the world some basic shit and the story treating it like they're some kind of genius.

"Allowing breaks helps make workers more productive"
