Yeah you rly dont understand if you think he CHOSE the work....
Work probably was mostly the same, but over the years started to accumulate the stress that before was tolerable. Thats the usual story
Tell me how it is a choice.
If he doesnt work ad the company demands, he will be shunned, fired and branded as a bad worker and who knows what kind of company will even hire someone like this.
Well doesnt rly matter where you are from, but your understanding of "choice" over work culture in Japan shows at the very least total lack of understanding towards that.
If choices towards work for a man were so easy, stress over it or level of suicide in asia wouldnt be as high....
And you try to portray that Maki and his mom are doing "just fine" now when Maki is doing mostly all the house work.... Tell me how this is irrelevant because the father was trying to prevent exactly that...
WELL ANYWAY, I guess the botton line is
I guess the bottom line is that you refuse to understand the pressure and consequences of the toxic working culture from Japan, so you will keep pushing that it was just an "option" that the dad had... just his choices...
And you think Maki and his mom are living just as fine with her wage as well...
So, I guess we will never have an understanding, so I guess there's that. Well, you are free to have any opinion you want, sure, lol.
Ahh yes because career change is illegal in japan, jesus you westerners think just because there are toxic elements to Japanese work it's literally the only thing in Japan. Yes it's bad but is it impossible? No.
He CHOSE to stay working there, just because the choice is shitty it's still a choice to continue it.
And it's funny how just because you can't accept someone has a different opinion on something you think they don't understand it, really makes me think your just a kid who thinks they know everything about how the world works.
And yes apply suicide statistics for a whole continent to a very specific scenario that sure teaches me how great your understanding is.
And oh no Makis life is ruined he has too... Help out in the house? Like Jesus how will the poor boy ever live 😥 and the father tried to prevent it by.... Doing everything possible to make that the reality he knew would come of getting a divorce? Like explain the logic please.
Even if he gets the divorce now he's paying for a whole new apartment whilst giving his paycheck to his ex (so ofc it won't be as much as he was giving to the house as before because his pay check is getting split between more things) so maki was somehow not going to have to do work at home??? Your logic makes no sense. But sure you understand everything I guess.
And dismissing all that to still not answer my question. What about this doesn't make him a deadbeat again?
