Huh what's wrong with liking b-movies, or any unusual hobby? Why would it be growth if you choose to do anything else? Wouldn't that apply to the heroine too?
Like I said, there's nothing wrong with liking it, but I think if that's the only thing you like, you're missing out on life, and I think you're gonna end up unhappy in the long run. Of course it applies to the heroine, but my point was that she's unrealistically convenient for a lonely shut-in like him. He's the only one of the two who feels like he could exist in real life.

Applying FOMO on life isn't worth it IMO. If you could be happy with just one thing (and it's safe and cheap), then you're one step closer to winning at life. If you fell for the FOMO, then you will be unhappy no matter what. Coming into each decade/milestone of getting old, you will always worry yourself with what you don't have or haven't done.

The only thing convenient about her characterization is that she's from an all-girl's school. Speaking from experience, she's a type who is not particularly that unusual as far as hobbies go. But maybe it's different for Japanese people.

Edit: actually, after having read the later chapters, I'd say it's the guy MC who is more of a catch. It could be said that he's also unrealistically convenient for the heroine.

I'm not talking about worrying about FOMO, I agree that there's no point in worrying about what you chose not to commit to, but there's a difference between that and living a hermit life and spending all your free time doing only one thing. I just think it's pretty much guaranteed you would live a more fulfilling life than that by just expanding your horizons a little.

It's well executed, but the premise feels so convenient. The MC is a sad lonely loser whose only hobby is eating pizza and watching B-movies, and what do you know, the super popular, confident and beautiful heroine's only hobby happens to be the same thing. It's not like I have anything against pizza and B-movies, but if that's the ONLY thing you like, you should probably try to broaden your horizons. I mean, not just so you can actually meet someone (cause you ain't ever gonna get someone so convenient dropping into your lap), but also for your own sake, to grow as a person.
He also like other classic otaku stuff, like games. He is just a regular otaku introvert that have an extra of liking b-movies.

Never would I have thought Lunartique TLs mangas, although with a background with pmoon stuff I can’t say it’s hard to pull off

Gonna disagree on the convenient part, you can meet all sorts of people just because they have the same hobby, even people you respect.

Like I'm a hermit who plays ttrpgs all day and I ended up befriending multiple content creators I'm a fan of just because they also like the same hobby as me.

Like genuinely two people having a niche hobby and bonding over it is just a common facet of life.
