In the WN, he actually said something to the effect of "I'm not so big hearted that I would hang out with people who clearly dislike me", instead of indirectly taking the blame and being considerate. They made him far more awkward and less up-front in this manga so far.

Another change is his encounter with Asanagi. She originally took note of the fact that he liked pizza & coke, found out where he lived, and asked to hang out while holding the food. There was no interaction between them until she met him at his home.
Yeah, they're definitely adapting the LN here. Though it shouldn't be too dissonant with the WN again until we get to the aftermath of the cultural festival.

Too bad then, that part is good...
But it makes sense to his character and I personally do like it better this way. He has been a loner due to moving so often. But it's not like he does not see the good in people. He didn't wanna hurt Yuu but wanted to commit to his friendship with Umi

We don't ever get an exact timeline, but it appears only the spring semester and summer break were passed over. They're still first-years for the festival and quite a bit more (though your spoiler is definitely in year two).

Ah, so "I have already been telling you about my hobbies for a year now" was a mistranslation? It did raise a lot of questions...

I kinda want ProjectLuna to retranslate the rest of these...

One thing I wanna praise this work for is that it treats introversion as a valid alternative personality type rather than a personality disorder like the vast majority of Japanese manga and light novels. The concept of extroversion/introversion and the idea of draining vs recovering energy in different social situations is fairly widespread nowadays in the west, but if a manga protagonist is a loner, it's almost always because they're either traumatized or some antisocial edgelord (or both), and over the course of the work they have to be dragged kicking and screaming out of their shell so they can join the wider friend group and become a normal person. It's nice to see this kind of rare, more nuanced view.

Wait, what is the timeline of this chapter right now? I'm confused because they're said it's already a year? Please someone tell me the correct timeline!
