If I were to guess, she's so used to hanging with Umi that the idea of someone else hanging out with her seems to be... weird. She might have some subconscious clingyness or possessiveness, but I kinda could see it when she talked about how Umi was going to a different school at the last minute. From her, it didn't seem weird, but I read it as Umi wanted to separate from her and become someone not just associated with her, and yet she was followed anyways.

I Read the raws and in a way its kinda like that.....Umi feels very insecure about Yuu how straightforward and honest she is and also cuz two of her old friends lie to her when she tried inviting them to a movie but went out with Yuu

This is pretty much the reason why she wanted to be friends with Maehara in the first place she wanted a friend who she can share her hobbies with, someone with the same interest as her.

I don't understand why is this appears to be such a problem? I'm pretty sure Umi want someone just for herself without the fear of shadow of Yuu taking over yet another social circle. Both sides don't harbor any malice but Umi obviously has her fears (ptobabaly why she moved schools in the first place and doesn't really want to meet with the old friends) and needs her space as well.
