Last time I checked, a grandchild has two sets of grand parents. This grandmother might be her mothers mother, not her fathers mother. So the father might not know either.

On pg 24, MC said to look for someone named Saotome, which was her mom's family name. So, it's definitely her maternal grandma. Though it was vague before this chapter.

I think the dad should still know where the maternal grandma lives. But he would probably not happy with the idea of Aoi choosing the grandma, so it's still a bad idea to ask him.
