It's a bit of a meta-call, but
The way Aoi's dad is drawn, doesn't feel like a bad character.
So I wonder if he was kept out of Aoi's life against his will (by her mom, maybe?) and now he's trying to make up for lost time, but because he wants Aoi to not have to struggle.
And....Akira still, ostensibly, has to transfer at the end of the year. So perhaps there's a middle ground where Aoi doesn't have to leave, at least right away?
I mostly just hope Aoi's dad isn't actually a bad guy, though. After missing out on seeing her grandmother, I'd hope that Aoi has at least one adult in her life (outside the school, anyway) who has her back in all of this. Her manager's great, but not really someone who can (or should) be expected to help her out with stuff outside of the bounds of her job.
I'm of the opinion that Akira needs to figure out how to get out of this transfer business so he can actually stay with Aoi and with his friends, and stop having his life uprooted over and over again. That seems like it should be a priority, and I'm surprised Akira's not trying to push back against that, as much as he is against Aoi leaving his side.
But, thank you for the TL work as always.
