This manga REVELS in poor writing. Folks already mentioned MC's pretty throwaway (yet obviously relevant) flashback. But that's not even going into the reason why chesty blonde gyaru likes MC, which basically boils down to "he's a nice guy that gets good grades without trying" (that's how boring MC is on a conceptual level. We can't even explore the nature of his parental neglect or relationship with his grandfather, which I think would be interesting and flesh him out a little)
FemC wants to be a doctor but behaves like a dysfunctional person half the time. And perhaps this will get explained later, but even now her reason for wanting to become one is vague at best.
We're decently far in at 12 chapters and all the characterization and motivation presented are still very surface-level.
