Never specified, I think? First chapter was Nana executing her plan already. As far as I can remembered, she just recognized he was a good candidate and she wanted him. It seemed to imply she started catching a feeling for him properly when she visited his house (when Mana was conceived), got to see his face properly, and realized Ryuuji was actually hot.

She said she liked him before she saw his face literally right before she lift up his bangs. I quickly read it from beginning cuz of the new upload I forgot who the two friends were. So I remember that part well.
