Very early on MC said that he has no interest in exerting more effort than he needs to, so that may be the cause behind his consistent 50s (barely passing) and of course there are always things that we don't know about yet

yeah thought this one is popular with anime and stuff, but like the plot have too many holes it’s basically a sponge, makes it hard to immerse, and the teacher were basically called them to brag about MC’s OPness, didn’t tell the criteria or why was she in D class in the first place if she really nailed both interview and written, or even why is it a whole class thing and not individual thing, chapters before they promotes competition now they promotes communism wtf!??
