Clear history or remove items from history.

Would be cool to have this feature but is it really all that important? It only store the last sixteen chaps that you read and only the latest three are displayed in homepage so it's not really hard to spamclick three different chapters to push it out of view...

Unless you're that kind of guy who have OCD and finds it annoying when 16 chapters come from one manga that you were binging and suddenly you accidentally click on a random chapter and boom! 15 chapters from manga A and 1 from manga B. If so then this feature is probably necessary.

Putting the read history right on the start page is bothersome, especially as it shows Hentai as well. Personally, I'd prefer the option not to save the reading history at all, as I don't even understand what it's supposed to be useful for. But then again, I only registered so I'd be able to use the search function.

You're just talking about the Reading History of your account, right? Not the browser history (which I'm sure you have set to not record or automatically delete)?

The Reading History of your account is just for the users. It helps find manga you may have read but not added to your MDList and forgotten the name of.

if you don't want us to "track" any information on you you would avoid using any features at all

Exactly. There are sites that do track people (e.g. Google and Facebook), and you can take measures to prevent tracking, but not everything is tracking what you view.

And even if it is, it's not like anyone is using it maliciously even in the slightest. It's most likely to make for an easier user experience.

If someone wants to be more cautious than most, then alright I guess. But if it becomes overly obsessive and unnecessary then it's bordering on paranoia.

@Plykiya I wouldn't mind having more control over my recent history. Like being able to increase beyond 10 and delete a manga I didn't like since I don't follow everything I read. Obviously the last one I read would get knocked off, but I could remove it so others don't fall off as quickly. But I might rely on my history a little more than most. And I understand it may never happen if it's expected to be poorly utilized.

@Plykiya not a big deal but I would like to see it bumped up slightly, maybe 15. For me its more of what @bigtiddyoneesan mentioned, forgetting the name of a manga and using the history to retrieve it. Doesn't happen all the time but often enough to be a little frustrating, with my stupidity not the site. Usually on oneshot binge days where I read a bunch with no intention of making a note about them sometimes I later think yeah, I want to note a oneshot that was particularly good but it's gone since it is easy to go through some oneshots. Somewhat similar are low motivation days where I just end up looking at a bunch of new mangas and get a bunch of nope, nope,... and then after awhile I change my mind on one that went by and it's off my history. Not a big deal just a nicety.

I don't care about turning it off or clearing it myself. In reference to the history vs follows list I can see a slight difference. The follows list someone would have to choose to add it to their mdlist, while the history each one gets added following or not. So someone who doesn't add hentai to their list could have it show for however long it takes to force it out of the top 3 manga in their history. A very minor problem and not one I am worried about for myself, just give me 15.

Maybe make it customisable. Like pick whatever history size you want in range 0…30 (or whatever the top you set). Makes everyone happy.

@BzzBzz that is actually good idea. I just mentioned them upping partly because I figured it wouldn't require a code change but just a setting on their side. Changing the 10 to 15.

Well I personally would like it disabled entirely or increased to 30+ entries. 10-15 entries is quite useless IMO.

@Groceries yeah but I said it better. Well and yours would require code change, the having more control. Mine, they change the number one time, shouldn't need a code change just a setting change so I would think it could be done before the next version is released.
