Damn, the other women were chilling Nell's kids? While it disgusts me, strangely I get why they did so. Knowing that they wouldn't be able to keep their kid. Knowing that they wouldn't be safe out there, so it's better to not have kids at all. But here's this person who doesn't know just how bad it is out there, and that it's best not to subject someone to that world without choice. That nothing but worry and suffering would come from keeping the kid alive so as a mercy they tell her the child died at birth. While there may be a sadness of what could have been there is no chance of hope, which could be more poisonous.

It's also heartbreaking knowing g that Nell is an example of not all kids being separated from birth, and they weren't able to see other situations that weren't so terrible. But there's also the fact that the other women put Nell down and hurt her alongside the slavers. A lot of conflicting and confusing thoughts and emotions in a bad situation.

Nell's survival was a fluke. If the women ever started systematically hiding children, the thugs would teach them a brutal and horrific lesson. There is no way this would end well. Clevatess is just talking out of his ass because he's an overpowered monstrosity. In my opinion, Carmen didn't deserve to be roasted for what she did, and I don't blame her for hitting Nell either.

Wait so is Luna's mother the crown princess? And she survived? Or is it a different person?

Even if their motivation was understandable, it still gave them no right to kill Nell's children. It is ultimately up to Nell to choose what to do with her kid, kill them, let them get taken away or try to hide them like her mother.

Nell is a quite bit on the retarded side, she is barely able to make a decision for herself, there is no way she can make one on behalf of her children, especially when it comes to such a moral dilemma. She also lacks the perspective of the women who gave birth and went trough experiences that made them think aborting babies was the way to go.

As I said that is still Nell's right, even no choice is a choice and she will take responsible for her choice, good or bad. Also you just take away her right base on nothing more than assumption, assume that she can't choose or she will fail. Consider how far Nell went for Luna (a child she barely know) and how she behaved in the current story, I can't think she is a retard that can't make decision for her own child. She may just need a change and may be the reason she looked so pitiful and retard is because people were constantly looking down on her, not giving her a change and take away her choice base on assumption.

Moreover, you said she lack the perspective of the women who gave birth and went trough experiences but how do you think Nell can gain experience when you take away her choice like that. Her whole life and choice were taken away by bandit and now the choice for own child was taken away by the woman. I don't see how that should be allowed

I think we both lack arguments to continue because we're getting into the "what if" and "we don't know" territory. I agree that freedom of choice is a great thing, I also insist that none of the women are mentally healthy. What we do know is that Nell is a walking example of what happens to children born in captivity. If I were to blame the women for anything, it would be for not informing Nell, I agree. I feel like something is missing as to why they lied to her.
