I think she's writing on the diary and we the reader are seeing as if they're chatting
And honestly, she being the ghost would make me cry more in the end so i hope not :.)

either way is breaking, cant imagine how she feels and how she is given that tragedy(its been five years since shes passed). Hopefully, since its set in stone that Sakura isnt coming back, she finally frees herself from misery and i think reminiscing their time both together is the only effective way to accept and move on.

she's probably dying herself and having the whole "life flashing before your eyes" thing since this started with her on the verge of death from simply not caring enough to do anything to survive

That actually makes sense since the thing about when dying is, a loved one is waiting for you to fetch you or something like that on the other side.

This. I hate the "move on and be happy" shit. Who would want to replace or forget the person they truly loved? Like sure if it you didn't fully love them then move on, but if you did then moving on is like making them die a second time.
