It has a fairly good start, can't wait to see how the story unfolds
FMC is trash. Like the prototype of all trashy girls. I accidently picked it up on a different webpage where it wasn't shown that it was shoujo, my fu%^ing mistake.
Basically FMC competes with MC, be it physically (THE MOST MORONIC THING) and academics, somehow she gets 2nd place in academics and lacks basic understanding that during puberty boys become stronger than girls. But i digress. So she has that competitive spirit, well not really she uses really trashy methods in order to decrease his academical level, alas she doesn't succeed. Her last resort? Confess to him, even though she doesn't like him, in order to tilt him.....Great....Surprise he accepts and even returns her feelings, but what a set back bitch doesn't have feelings for him and actively is being friendly with the other guy......
How to tell that you are reading shoujo, MC's are either psychopathic or massively autistic with 0 emotions, there is always a playful playboy around the corner for some NTR action, which mostly girls (not all women) like. Girl is doing something really trashy and nobody really scolds her or holds her accountable.
In my adult male mind circuits were fuming while reading this. I've shelved it until maybe death comes knocking at my doors.
Be mindful they are 17-18, this behaviour from FMC side is outright trashy and cannot be called childrens games at this age. MC is a different story, how can someone fall in love with such a trashy character? And take shit from them constantly? Yeah I forgot girls fantasy, having a delinquent like playboy type around the corner who can stick in you at any moment (feels like it) and autistic MC who is diligent, almost genius(or genius) who despite her bitchy behaviour still tries to pursue her.
Stark contrast to what normal guys would:
- I like you too!
That's what I consider a more or less normal answer to her actions, what we see:
- I like you too!
What girly comics lack most of the time is a male perspective on self respect, most of the authors either are truly ignorant (i know for a fact girls who grew up without fathers tend to lack this knowledge) or malicious, their maliciousness basically contradicts with what male population would tolerate. In whole honesty pubescent boys could literally blow and slap a woman (punch or kick, pick your poison) with similar situation what we see in this shoujo.
Now think of a situation, a girl who lacks any role model or a figure (there are many nowadays it's not like we are throwing 10% of girls under the bus or creating drama bombs, the percentage is much higher) who can tell about boys way of thinking, reads this manwa or many other similar to this one. She gets fake information and fake perception which can turn out quite tragic in the end for both sides. FYI, perverted(in most cases even without perverted tag) shounen harem is the other side of the coin, which i also dislike.

Man, this is the type of story that just makes you feel bad for everyone involved. ML just gets consistently fucked in misunderstandings and situations that make me feel so bad for him. It is a classic “FMC doesnt know what she has until its gone” type thing though. Having a second ML who has no shot whatsoever just makes me feel bad for him as well, cause hes a likable character. Having a second ML is fine, but if its obviously a single route, making him likable just makes me feel so bad for him. Although things are slightly looking up for ML, i cant help but feel bad for the way it twisted to become this way. It is entertaining despite the cliche though.

I found FMC trashy and bad as a role model, i found MC's also bad role models. I don't expect shoujo to have "good" male role models, but i at least expect females in shoujo to be good role models. Or at the very least to be shown what accountability is.
I don't understand you people. When something is against some group you are called racist, nacist or sexist. Do you have at least inkling of intelligence and understanding that critique doesn't mean you are XYZ?
It's the same if i said 90-95% of fat people ARE FUCKING LOUSY EATERS AND LAZY ASSES WHO DON'T DO ANYTHING PHYSICAL (enough physical). The irony in that statement is that I am one of those fucking 90-95% lazy asses. People like to create justification for their bad behaviour. Some redirect it towards something or someone else SOME do it aggressively and attack those who found fault in them for example calling them with those hollow and empty words like misandrist, misogynist, racist and etc. Fifty years ago those words had a meaning and power behind them. NOW, some critique and you called XYZ. What i said about shoujo comics and girls getting skewed world view through mangas like that can be reversed also to shounen mangas where boys get the same kind of bs. Did you even try to elaborate what my views are? Or are just a common title giver without any processing power in that skull?
You know what, you are right in one thing, i dislike women..... and men, I am misanthropist. Generally speaking vast majority of people are decent but some people on the far-right and left spectrums make me forget about all those billions of decent people so my hatred towards them supersedes love and likes towards decent people.
FYI i do like confrontation and dialogue, we learn from that, i simply hope if you decided to write something and act "smart" at least have some substance to your words and confront me about them, without throwing empty words which puzzle me as to what could have offended you. In plain and skeleton words: FMC is trashy, MMC's are trashy. My stories about girls getting beat up by guys are my eyewitness statements and my experience about what i saw and what i had to see and deal with professionally (thankfully i left this occupation).
Though at the time of reading i really did feel emotions close to hatred for all characters. I felt frustrated and angry, how come no one confronts her for her bad behaviour? How come our autistic male lead loves her despite hearing point blank that it was just a joke? As a man, I didn't feel as much frustration towards female lead as to male lead. He had dozens of choices that would be more logical and practical and he decided to take the most miserable and grueling steps.
You cannot demand a person to return your feelings if they have none, you cannot make them love you IF they initially didn't feel anything for you. You can try and manipulate this and even succeed in deception but eventually that deception will fall and love will fade away.
There are pick up artists who can manipulate their targets BUT when they turn off pick up artistry that affection also turns off. As an example guy tries everything in his power to make her fall in love with him, she fell in love with the guy WHO TRIED EVERYTHING IN HS POWER TO MAKE HER FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM, but majority of those guys once they will feel that they achieved their goal, their efforts will return to mediocre where's that girl/woman will feel he changed or feel that she was cheated. i.e. Her understanding was that he will continue or even escalate whilst in reality he pushed all the cards and exhausted himself and after returned to energy saving mode. A sorts of love bombing strategy which is good short term but exhausts you long term.
