@OldShadow Why? This guy has never shown anything shady toward her, just the bastard Igarashi has acted suspiciously toward her. Old man hasn't done anything bad to her.

@ikstarven Took zombie chick two days to break in with a golf club. So it's not that easy. The store has reinforced wire mesh glass windows and she barricaded the door.

@Kami_Nana well when his friend tried yanking her down as she tried to give them supplies and she was dangling from the roof and she screamed for help, he didnt even react..even if he was being nice later, that stands out..

and in response to your other comment about zombies using their arms, sure, but picking up metal bars to use to break stuff..questionable.

@OldShadow Oh, there's a small kink in your criticism of the Old Man, though...he wasn't even looking at them when Igarashi tried to yank her down. He had just looked back in time to see the zombie creeping up behind him. (on the other hand, he yelled at the dying Igarashi when he threw the empty can at our poor clerk girl) Then, he had something more pressing to catch his attention...

As for zombies picking up things...maybe you haven't watched as many zombies as I have as I've seen it fairly common in zombie movies. Even the original George A Romero movie(Night of the Living Dead) had them pick up weapons to use like when little zombie girl picked up that tool to kill her mother with it in the basement.

yea i know he yelled at him, thats why i mentioned his being nice later. whether or not he was looking i guess is more up in the air since hes just suddenly not beside igarashi after the panel of her being yanked (again, she yelled for help..not sure how he didnt hear that).

ive seen my fair share of zombie movies, though i think its relatively accepted that the "average" zombie is portrayed as following only its most basic instincts, which dont involve that. this is also what im used to, hence my surprise (i think most portrayals show this basic level of functioning), but there are differences everywhere, so yea @Kami_Nana
