Dang I guess we can't call out someone posting horribly homophobic shit and saying a nazi is always right because they translated some manga before? That just protects them and makes anything they do okay?
I got enough of translators being scared away by the twitter crowd, we don't need the twitter crowd in this site.

Actually, I got lost in the closet because of a situation like that. Moot point since I'm now married to a man.
Not gonna lie, part of me wants a little context, ok, a lot of context, cause otherwise I can't help but imagine the worst scenarios possible from what you've said :wtf:

Though I know better than to ask people about their personal lore in a public place like this, guess I should go bother you in DM :dogkek:
LITERALLY a predator 😭 (not illegal age gap but still weird af)
At least she's not a rapist or something like that, more of an asshole hedonist who will say what she needs to get into a girl panties.

She's a carnivore, and her diet is women, it is still pretty predatory, but compared to the alternatives it could be infinitely worse :wtf:

Ah, so we going into the usual plot where a sexually active person MUST have something wrong with them huh.
I think its more so of a case that such a young person(highschool?) is already so sexually active in a rampant fwb lifestyle. Early maturity usually is a result of some form of previous trauma like negligent/abusive parents.

Regarding this chapter, the trauma doesn't come from being groomed but the fact her feelings weren't requited. It's debatable how much Rin could be a predator, I consider she was curious about her friend little sister and then tested the waters with that question. Ruka for sure wasn't interested in straight relationships and wanting to sound more mature made those precocious declarations, so Rin must have assumed she would be fine since she was answering that way. If they had been the same biological age everyone would have agreed she discovered yuri but the five-six year gap doesn't sit well when they're not requited. I consider Rin selfish and self-centered (what you call an asshole) and that's something despicable no matter the age, that's why she didn't care about hurting Ruka's feelings and Ruka preferred to ignore that part since she liked her. After this toxic relationship, she was resolved to never be emotionally attached again, that's why she has been having non-serious relationships.
Regarding predators, for them sexuality or age don't matter, they abuse powerless people and consider them tools to satisfy their desires, it's only magnified when it's same sex by hate speech individuals. They don't need arguments, so you shouldn't feel bad for reading fiction, even if it's onee-loli or just yuri loli, charging against these sub-genres is like admitting they are right. Read what you like and don't demonise different narratives, again this is fiction. Both in and out LGTBIQA+ age gap relationships exist (IRL) without trauma or abuse involved, but this is not the place to discuss that.

Its a literal 17-18 year old individual engaging sexually with a 12-13 individual, what part of an "age gaps exist in all relationships" makes this okay? Even if her feelings were requited, what part of that makes it okay in any way? It's not a 22-23 year old and a 27-28 year old being depicted.

Regardless of what gender you're attracted to, you should be competent enough at atleast 17 to understand that there's something clearly wrong with such a relationship

You can talk with your main account, there's no need to create a fake one for these occasions. If you do that I don't mind giving an extensive explanation, but basically you're negating reality. Nowadays in many countries a good number of elementary school teenagers have their first sexual relationship before being 12th, and even when I was that age in middle school (up to 15th) it was already common that students had regular sex relationships with either others of their age or older. Is there an age when you become an expert and mature from night to day? If they are bimbos of whatever gender in their twenties bad experiences are more acceptable? How are they going to understand things without experience? So far you've only showed a prejudice.

I literally don't have another account and using that to negate my point doesn't make it any better.

I haven't shown any prejudice of any kind to anyone. I don't know how you're comparing people in their 20s with people in their teens in terms of maturity. This isn't me crying out loud that a 14 year old and a 15 year old are having sex, it's an 17-18 year old and a 12-13 year old, if you're unable to see the difference in maturity mentally and physically then you've got a problem.

Obviously not every 20 something is going to have a perfect sex life or an idea of one, but this is different to my main point being that it isn't just the lack of respect shown to a sexual partner which as you said is already a shitty thing to do, it's the fact rin is a 3rd year highschooler having a sexual relationship with a first year middle schooler

@DaRoyce I was referring to students with the same gap but whatever, some people prefer someone their age and others someone more mature, it's you who can't accept that happening during those years despite happening without drama. For you a gap equals to abuse and feelings or maturity don't matter, only their biological age, and you don't care about anything else even in the chapter. You can live with your old conservative mindset for all I care, just don't impose it on others.
