Considering how Japan has the driver on right side and foreign drivers with their own (wheel on the left) cars probably aren't a huge thing in an island nation, I wondered about the scene where Shun opened his own door for the toll motorway ticket. So, I hit Google Maps and the street way, near Tokyo. I came to the conclusion that you better pay attention in such a situation. In some entrance points you do have the ticket machine on both sides, in some you don't. Though that being said, if one has a special import car, maybe they today (not 20 years ago like this series) rely on a remote payment option where they don't need to do anything but drive through and the system will register them automatically.
