Seriously, if something that creepy is stalking me, I'll worship every god in existence lol. Not talk to my friends about itIt shocks me how often Horror protagonists encounter threats like ghosts but never think "Yeah I should get an exorcism or something" like the story doesn't need the exorcism to work or even have the exorcists believe them, but it at least would show they're trying everything they can think of and they're desperate for a solution.
Instead they're often just trying to run from, brute force or ignore a clearly supernatural entity that's more locked onto their backs than Fleece Johnson. This has to be a cultural thing that I'm not getting.
Seriously. I've read enough of these things my first instinct would probably go to a temple and see a monk for an exorcism. But that's Fiction Logic. Most people, unless they were religious, probably wouldn't seek spiritual help (or they might ask for help from the wrong person....)It shocks me how often Horror protagonists encounter threats like ghosts but never think "Yeah I should get an exorcism or something" like the story doesn't need the exorcism to work or even have the exorcists believe them, but it at least would show they're trying everything they can think of and they're desperate for a solution.

The "girl" stalking him isn’t human. She’s not evil, not vengeful, not even alive in a way we’d understand. She’s something that was never meant to be explained (embodiment of the unknown). MC unfortunately encounters her and has been marked to death. He tries to fight it but that drives him into a psychotic break before his inevitable death.I don't get it?
This will sound repetitive but the "woman" in this one reminds me of the one from Zashiki Onna yet again. The "girl" stalking him isn’t human.
