@mahtan I mean the idea is to stop the "bad guys" and the whole monster conspiracy would make most jump so the bad guy conclusion. Its basic "we need to stop him and save the world" but with no idea how the world truly works. They can't confirm he is bad but they can assume he is because of the death and manipulation which they attribute to him.

See Molly now understands how cosmic horror works, which is why she isn't scared anymore. there's no point, humans are insignificant from the view of the beings in that world. since you can't do anything anyway, what's the point of being scared all the time.
