@Frozeneye to me it feels like Oscar is mostly just meant to be the butt of the joke, and be tortured by the cat, while Flora stays the same as a certain Kyuu-chan's Hinata, the "not interested in romance just wants to live happy with my cat" route. It's honestly funny to me to see that creep getting shut down by Flora, and bitten and mocked by her pet, as long as it stays that way it's perfect.
I wouldn't be surprised if the author met and had been harrassed by that kind of dude, and is doing this in their comics as a form of catharsis haha (I'll be very disapointed though if it really is just a "persue until she gives up" situation of course, reeeaally hope it's not).

Anyway, I definitely still enjoy this manga - it's more Oscar's fans in the comments who are making it bothersome/disturbing tbqh - so thanks @Darthskippy for translating it.

A short flash back. An massive arc from 239-292 that involves Flora, Oscar, and the lady who bought her painting. Then page 393 which came out today, starts a second flashback high school arc.

. So there is room for growth so don't completely right him off yet, but I haven't translated any of that yet so I'm basing my assumptions on just the muted pages.

I can't help you with the Oscar fan boys, but they are still better then that Accelerator Emiya person who used to post super annoying comments on MangaElo every single page. That dude legit made me stop checking MangaElo comments to see what other people thought of my work. Which is sad because when I first started this series I was checking the comments everywhere including sites that just take works because I really wanted to hear peoples inputs and comments so I could better my work.

I'm honestly not a fan of Oscar. He's pretty much written to be pathetic and that's what annoys me.
I also thought of this being a form of coping for the author, but that's just assumptions really.
The thing I want for Oscar is not to get the girl, but to realize he's acting like an idiot and that he just says 'fuck it, I don't want this for my life' and leaves.

Pretty much as Frozeneye said, the issue is that the sole interaction between Oscar and Flora, is for her to shoot Oscar down constantly, which has become tiresome. It makes both characters seem bad.
The author can give as much depth and "development" for Oscar as he wishes, that doesn't sound like it'd change anything about Flora being a 2D career woman who cannot see anything but her own arse, and thus will always ignore everyone else around her.

Honestly, I feel like for both Oscar and Flora to seem like more interesting characters (Oscar and Flora are currently pretty boring characters, that just do the same things endlessly), at least one of them has to break the loop. And going by what Skippy wrote, it might just as well be Oscar.
But I doubt it.
I doubt it so much. the comic relief doesn't change that easily.

@VermillionOcean Since she says he destroyed her art, my guess is one of her paintings back then was also coming to life, and Oscar destroyed it because of that. Without explaining to Flora why first, and why would she believe him afterward when she was pissed off?

@Georg-Prime Now I kind of want a crossover where Flora & Creepy Cat meet Hinata & Kyuu-chan and become friends. Can you imagine the two of them getting married later on and having Creepy Cat and Kyuu-chan both in one house?

I don't know man 292-393 seems like quite the wait.
In all seriousness, the comments in aggregator sites like manga*elo are full of spams. The worst site by far. I also used to read comments from those sites for input on new manga but they're filled with degenerate opinions.

@Darthskippy yep thanks I know, I did see you explain to other people what were the next arcs about in the comments before, but as I was saying in the general comments, it doesn't matter what he did (and it might be bad too, or just some misunderstanding), the problem with him is his current behaviour, I won't change my mind I don't want him to end up with Flora, I just want to keep seeing him getting scared off, laughed at, and bitten by the critters around her, creeper just deserves to get the creeps ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
