Nope, protagonists in cultivation stories are the ones who the author tries really hard to portray as a suffering individual bullied by everybody but who don't suceed becauese of hard work but because they just so happen to come by some complete cheat that makes them basically unbeatable even with how poorly they always capitalize on it.
