Ahh, good to see you here. I keep seeing you commenting on my favorite series. I actually work on Bugle Call too. I'm curious, between Radiant, Bugle Call and Daemons of the shadow realm, which is your favorite?

Oh yes we also did the first chapter of the other spin off, Fabula Fantasia. It doesn't have a page on mangadex yet, but you can find it on the reddit

Oh man... you are setting me up with those choices XD.

All three of them are so good, they do have some "connective tissue" in their thematic direction.

Radiant is a story about otherness, the expectations of society, but at the same time it isn't about just being against the system, you can't simply destroy it and think things will work out. You need to learn, and learning as you live the challenges it imposes on you is... difficult.

Bugle's Call, in its own way, is about otherness too, but it is more gruesome with the toll the manipulations of those in power take on people, the lengths you see yourself trusted into to achieve your dream, to break away from the cycle of pain but still see yourself playing into it.

Funny enough... I don't quite grasp Yomi no Tsugai "theme" yet, I love the characters, Arakawa-sensei is as sharp as ever with her characterization, there were mentions of society's marginalization of people, not just the implied one but directly told by what a few characters dealt with. But it feels more... mundane compared to the other two in this aspect.

But, one way or another... all three of them are GREAT stories, and what I wrote here is such a small part of what makes them great. I am always happy to see any of them updated, and click right away as soon as I see them.

Thanks a lot for doing this series, the work you all put in translating these stories is so appreciated that there are not enough words to thank you.

And thanks for the heads up for Fabula Fantasia, I will search it up, but maybe I will wait to be posted here, I like to put my thoughts in this comment section.

And after all that... what do you think of those stories you talked? Do you have a favorite? What are the traits you most like about them

Well, I think Radiant and Bugle Call are on their own level, compared to something like Daemons, but Daemons is still quite good. With every chapter, it gets better and better. So I'm excited to see where it goes.

Bugle Call has some of the most riveting character writing I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I think that both Radiant and Bugle Call do an excellent job at making their respective worlds feel alive. There is intent with every decision. It always feels thought out, like what any character would do in any given situation, or how it conflicts with their interests.

I will say, I wish we had more time dedicated to certain characters in Bugle Call. Like Pietro for example. Granted Radiant is not without faults either. The Cyfandir arc should have explored potions more and characters like Sagramor and Mordred/The order (I love Mordred's character as a concept so much) though Bome has been A LOT better in that aspect

Both series also have some of the best action of like anything I've read. Granted I think Bugle Call edges out Radiant here. The Heavenfall ramus vs Akira is on a whole other level. But both series are really good at paneling and conveying motion (Especially Radiant)

These two series are my only 10/10 manga, so while I wholeheartedly love both, I would have to go with Radiant overall. (We'll see how Bugle Call wraps up though), but I have grown up with the characters in Radiant and almost identify with them. I've re read countless times. The themes of Radiant are very personal to me as well. But yeah both are so good! If not for Bome, Bugle Call would have edged it out. Bome is just like my favorite thing ever. Can't wait to see how he wraps it up.

(Also I will probably reply to a comment when we get Fabula Fantasia uploaded here)
