Even in today's world, if a street gang or BLM knew you had the ability, they would just kidnap you and torture you until you handed the method over. It doesn't take a government to remove your rights to travel in order to control you and eventually find some way to trick you into violating a law so that they can legally detain you away from anyone else while they work you over to get the method. And then they have you commit suicide to stop details from leaking.
