Plot summary is a little odd.

Not even close
Couple of volumes in, they are both already rich beyond their wildest dreams; they could retire tomorrow, and despite Miyoshi's insanely expensive tastes in food and wine, they would never want for anything.
But the dungeons, and who is behind them, is either the greatest threat humanity has ever faced, or the greatest opportunity humanity will ever have.
Or both.
But they are both researchers at heart, so they WANT TO KNOW

Also on the subject of the harem; it certainly seems deliberate to the plot that the MC is increasingly involved with beautiful women that he isn't currently dating, but which (with the possible exception of Miyoshi, who might be in denial) wouldn't object to that.

Which seems like the Tenchi style (candidate pool) harem common in japanese works
