He's just lazy. The whole plot is just him running around to avoid girls that he saved from the time he was training like crazy to beat the demon king to become a king so that he could enjoy life without working.

He's just lazy. The whole plot is just him running around to avoid girls that he saved from the time he was training like crazy to beat the demon king to become a king so that he could enjoy life without working.

That is the thing, he is strong enough to beat the demon king and he dosn't OR he never realised how strong he is because he never beat the demon king, not sure how the story wants to portray him since I see him acting as both in the story, hence the hiding vs clueless trope debate

in this world there are heroes who get marks on them to prove it, those people get a power boost and a role to go kill the demon kings

he trained so that he might get one of the marks to become a hero, kill a demon lord, marry a princess and live a lazy life of luxury but in a random town he overheard that kings had a shit ton of work so he started to live in a way to barely make ends meet while hiding his power so he wasn't forced to work (all of this in the first chapter)

Even if he knows he's op af, and this and that, that all changed due to ch.1, he'll try to find ways to nigenrundayo outta here and there for his lazy living life style

Since he ditch both the "first" kingdom (due to one of its princesses that he saved twice now), that female hero, the elf assassin girl (but she's now here), etc.

He'll try to escape again too
