Hum. The transition of where Ch.7 end and this Ch.8 make it pretty obvious Ch.7 wasn't fully TL because we go from Silvia flashback when she was captured by the academy to a fight between the orc and the teachers for Silvia.

I don't buy it. Even with the flashbacks, there is a big part of the story missing By the end of Ch6, SIlvia was just captured by Bella and arrested by the teacher and now, somehow the orc have attacked the academy and captured her ? Like if it's true, that's bad writing.

It's up to you to believe what you want but I did double check the raws when I posted my reply to you. Each chapter has a final page with an editor's comment coupled with "Continued on XX/YY/ZZZZ". So the splits are correct.

well it's clearly sign of an axing then because the pathing is atrocious

Pretty nonsensical pacing what the hell. Wild because up until literally this chapter things were going really well imo. But suddenly we cut from Silvia's flashback to, rather than Silvia being properly arrested, suddenly the evil orc is there are silvia is chained up by him and it just doesn't make any sense with what Bella's doing I'm just incredibly confused. Very disappointing.
