Wait you're surprised that beings of Darkness aren't all classical do-gooder heroes/best buds? Sanko himself is a mass murdering bone harvester too. Everyone is delightfully twisted, spaceship and skull package are actually probably some of the most 'normal', all part of the fun. Shimada is pretty good just for traveling along, sometimes helping, and not actively being after Sanko's life/bones herself.

Light cannot exist with a shadow, likewise; shadows cannot exist without light. However, both of these attributes mean little more than color in the scheme of things and do not dictates good or evil. So something that exists in light can be truly evil while something in shadow can be truly good.

I kinda love how there's not really any plot, the character just bonk around from one sci-fi horror situation to the next, and since they're all varying degrees of immortal and invincible there's no consequences. It's comfy
