I know its a story and they need drama but as someone with 3 nephews age 6 to 9. It is absolutley unrealistic to me that these boys would not be PSYCHED to have a talking snake for a friend 😆

Its actually very realistic. In age 6 - 9 you can definitely recognized what is beauty, what is scary or not. Some kids in kindergarten already want to play with other pretty kids only.
Even at 3-6 year old, many kid already star crying if they see something scary to them.

And especially this is a village near jungle, you can definitely expected adult will teach their children very early what animal is dangerous and stay away from them, snake is definitely included on these. You can see that those kids already know what a snake is. If you see a snake in jungle, it definitely not a cute creatures you want to stay close, unless you want and can hunt them for food, there's no way those children dont know that when they live near jungle.

And when daija's childrens go to the same class with them. Their parents definitely will inform those kids how dangerous daija is.
I actually surprised that those kids dont start crying when they see daija's children.
