Maybe im overthinking this cause this IS mainly fancervice Comedy but maybe Kouta is Patient Zero and his Childhood friend (the one who clearly knows whats going on) tryes to cure him. I mean it COULD be his symptoms are repressed like during the test and its normaly a terminal illnes? OR what would be funnier he is Primariy a girl and cause of trauma surpresses it?

Kouta tho... how to tell you are a tool and an npc without saying so. Completely disregard everything another person says because of your self-esteemed sense of justice, stealing is bad mmmkey kids. What's that I hear, illegal experiments on humans and a guy have a recording and claims he is holding proof of it? Pshah, pull another one mate, that never happens! Frustrating, to say the least.

Aye, the earlier chapters also made me dislike the newspaper guy but at the same time to completely disregard him like that. Especially after everything that happened and they left school, Kouta's response "wow, crazy guy. Maybe there was something, maybe there wasn't."

I fully expect that all the boys at the school have that condition but in various forms of latency. And that while it seems like it's just a mix, it could be that they go to that school BECAUSE some actual test shows they have the mutation, and I'm gonna spitball and say that their project has something to do with declining b8rth rates, and that some conflict about the future of humanity rests on understanding the characters and so on.
