No more onepunchman3 case i am tired...
AI shit enough...

Look like the japanese fans of the novel kind of hated this manga adaptation. But apparently the novel is well received, so an anime adaptation or some OVA could be done in the future.

The axing was already known.

As adapatations go there's plenty others that are way worse that continue to get serialised. I'd go so far as to say whilst not perfect it's still quite a decent adaptation so I really can't understand why it was so hated.

For those wondering the author does allude to the backlash in a twitter post

That's some shit. It's always the stuff that's interesting that gets axed.
I KNOW RIGHT!? All the manga that breaks a little from the same formula gets axed! I'm tired of seeing the salary man loser get gender bent into a fantasy with 100 genie mode cheats. Why not a trigun why not a FANTASY with actual effort to with a clear goals. I could go on but for fucks sake. We can't have something that makes you interested? NO we keep shoveling slop no real romance that only concludes at the end or wrapped up a fantasy that has no high stakes or no adults just kids or teens that over shadow everyone.

I'm just tired boss, tired of seeing the same shit I know art imitates but the at least put effort. Nothing breaks the formulas.

If this was supposed to make me want to go and read the novel, this was the worst fuckin' way to do that. This makes me actively want to not do that out of spite.

Whatever you are willing to share, buddy. I know many of us will be grateful either way.
Well then,
All the named characters survive this fight so cat maid and elf maid are still around. Zilbagias uses Faravgi's body for some dwarf-made Dovahkin armor. While at the shop, he finds a stash of weapons which happens to include his magic sword Adamas from when he was a Hero The most powerful lych in the world, Enma, seems to take a fancy to him for some reason and offers to teach him necromancy, which he accepts. When going to his first lesson, he meets his childhood friend Claire, who was turned into an undead. Oruphen, the leader of the dark dragon clan(who pretty much rules the dragons on the demon's side) gets worried that Faravgi nearly killing Zilbagias may cause problems and offers him a gift as an apology. Said "gift" is Faravgi's daughter that was mentioned this chapter, whose lived a pretty torturous life so far. The dark dragon leader knows he'll have to get rid of her, Layla, at some point so decides to do so by giving her to Zilbagias. He expects Zilbagias will either kill her as revenge for her father's actions, or "use" her like he does Liliana, making her life even worse. Layla teaches Zilbagias the magic of anthromorphy so he can turn into a human and offers to use his necromancy to summon her father's soul and let her say goodbye to him. When summoned, Faravgi lashes out at Zilbagias until he notices Layla's presence. Once calmed down Faravgi points out Zilbagias used light magic in their fight, something demons can't do. Cat's out of the bag. After learning the truth about his past, Faravgi uses his souls last magical energy to pass knowledge and power to his daughter, and Layla teams up with Zilbagias with the intention of wiping out there enemies. That covers most of Volume 2

In volume 3 Zilbagias goes to his mom's clan's territory for training. They have a captured hero train a bunch of slaves for battle, telling him that anyone who survives will be healed and get to live afterwards. Obviously, if he doesn't train them then no one has a chance to survive. This battle is a part of Zilbagias's training. A few new characters, including the likable Alba, a demon who has an "are we the baddies" moment at one point.

In volume 4 they are back at the demon capital and is mostly filled with world lore expansion, build up for volume 5's battle, and a little bit of humor. More necromancy training. A demon festival where the men have a naked fighting tournament in the snow. Sex fiend demon prince sits down to chat with Zilbagias because he wants to know what sex with a dragon and a high elf is like.

Volume 5 is Zilbagias off to war to conquer the capital of the latest nation in the demon kingdoms path. He ends up killing two of his old comrades from his human life and almost gets killed by a priestess who was the lover of the hero from volume 3. During this fight his entire unit is wiped out except good ole Alba, who ends up saving Zilbagias. In appreciation, Zilbagias then kills him and destroys his soul with his necromancy skills. He then sneaks around killing anyone he comes across from both sides. Anyone he kills from the demon's side, he destroys their soul that they can't be summoned by a necromancer and spill the beans on him. At one point, the thought of everything that he's been doing overwhelms, shutting his mind down. The "other" Zilbagias from when Liliana was rescued takes over for awhile. Eventually the battle is won and he goes home, but the losses on the demon kingdom's side was much bigger than in previous battles.
I probably missed a few important things, but that's the gist of it.
