If they are the same elves as back then Why would you want to read a series about an long lived species that picks you as their second choice this is just nasty it’s like dating a girl that’s into your dad or grandpa but goes out with you because the former rejected her….other possibilities:
1. ancestor had a human kid before he was dragged into elven kingdom.
2. one of ancestor's kids left the elven kingdom, and had children with humans - so this would make MC something like 1/4 elf , 1/8 elf or lower.
the bigger question I have is:
the twins are princesses who wanted to marry his ancestor? so they never officially married and stayed princesses forever to wait for his descendant to marry?
...this sounds too much like purityfag mentality, which I don't like. Why would you want to read a series about an long lived species that picks you as their second choice this is just nasty
Good point...this sounds too much like purityfag mentality, which I don't like.
women (especially older women) having a few exes/previous loves is perfectly fine for me since it's more realistic than eternal virgin bs , also it's not like you're reading about them gushing over their ex or anything.
I probably would be a bit put off in that case, but this situation really isn't 'a drop of a hat' since ancestor probably died decades, maybe centuries ago.But So you don’t get the ick when say a Yandere swaps the target of her affection at the drop of a hat? Just curious I can’t really help how I feel
picking me specifically because I was a descendant does lack romance, but an ancestor who I never seen/heard of, probably won't ever see and is barely even described doesn't feel like ntr in any way.Or say a boy/girl wants to date your father/mother but they rejects her so they ask you out instead
True It’s not that I feel that it’s Ntr it just like you said it’s lacking in romance since when the reason they "like" you is because of your glancestornnot your own look accomplishments or personality is the only way I could describe the feeling it made me feelI probably would be a bit put off in that case, but this situation really isn't 'a drop of a hat' since ancestor probably died decades, maybe centuries ago.

at the end of the day, this is a story them being yandere-ish over MC, not about MC going after girls with hang-ups.so no baggage or drama involved.
