You miss the whole point of rent a girlfriend. Kazuya is probably not even that bad of a mc, he’s just PAINFULLY average not even boring. Rent a girlfriend is supposed to be about how theirs multiple types of relationships that a human can have. It doesn’t have to start for sexual or platonic reasons (malicious reasons too lol but that doesn’t apply to the story so it doesn’t need to be mentioned) , people are developing and changing creatures, so why wouldn’t their bonds change too? Even if they are not sure of their feelings. They have time to confirm them. You would be living proof of this.
