As much as I love urumin and girl failure ness... popochi has my heart thank you very much for the feast
Great choice of music there. Akiko Shikata is wonderful. And hey! Melantha is the name of my PFP OC! To stay on topic, though, I wonder why no one thought to at least give Urumin floaties like a certain shark girl. Even though I know the overall tone of the manga isn't that serious, it's pretty negligent on the staff's part not to have a lifeguard on duty. But hey, at least super cute swimsuit is super cute.Rest in peace my beloved idol, Urumin.
Tbh I think it’s too bad that Popocchi is a side character in this manga cuz she could have been the FMC in her own manga. The hime in Himeji stands for Princess Popocchi
Edit: fuck it, solo Popocchi
Let's hope the manga sells well enough, and Popocchi Church is widespread so we can get a side story with her. We would get to see her being a brat, but she is also reliable helping her relatives in their restaurant, just no romance, I wouldn't be able to survive.Tbh I think it’s too bad that Popocchi is a side character in this manga cuz she could have been the FMC in her own manga.
I can totally see her being the main character in a side story that’s pretty funny. She has all the appeal and personality for it.
I think a manga about her would be interesting.
I feel that the author put a little too much effort into creating her character, and then wasted it as a side character. Lots of authors have a bad habit of doing that, and then making the FMC boring and bland in comparison (not saying Urumin is lame btw, I’m just pointing out a pattern I’ve seen)
Is that the shark toothed girl in love with her small senpai?Great choice of music there. Akiko Shikata is wonderful. And hey! Melantha is the name of my PFP OC! You're exactly right, I was taught that in swimming lessons.Usually you gotta get the on site professional and/or get a life preserver to toss in. Alternatively you could look for a long stick or pole to put in the water for them to grab onto. There's way too many tragic stories of the untrained pedestrian getting themselves killed trying to rescue someone else.
This author seems to be legit gifted at character designs. No joke, every single chapter I'm still in awe at how amazing Urumin's design is. Instantly identifiable, gorgeousTbh I think it’s too bad that Popocchi is a side character in this manga cuz she could have been the FMC in her own manga.

That's the one, yup.Is that the shark toothed girl in love with her small senpai?
Well, if that's the case, at least it will avert the Clean, Pretty, Reliable trope. We might even see a trained professional on the scene. Wouldn't that be something?I think the twist will be that she is actually a really good swimmer and he's the one who nearly drowns. Then she'll get to drag him to shore and almost give him CPR.
This is why I keep one of those red torpedo floaties from Baywatch in the trunk of my car at all timesYou're exactly right, I was taught that in swimming lessons.
At the same time, can you imagine just standing at the edge of a pier watching someone drown as you wait for emergency services to get there?
And in the off-chance you have to be the person rescuing them, remove as much clothing as possible (people heavily underestimate how heavy normal clothes can get when waterlogged), do your best to come at them from behind (so they can't try to climb on you as easily), and do your best to calm them down before dragging them to shore. Lots of "I got you"'s and "take a deep breath"'s (it's much easier to move someone who isn't fighting you for their life because they're so panicked they don't realize they're being saved.)Usually you gotta get the on site professional and/or get a life preserver to toss in.
