We didn't know this side of his character since he never interacted with Urumin outside of events.

Now, we know. He sees himself nothing more than a fan and harbors absolutely no entitlement for being her ONLY fan. He is pretty cool for that not gonna lie even if his overall obsession is a little on the too much side. But that's an idol otaku for you.

That part reads like Kimiya's thought to me though. It doesn't make much sense if it's Urimin's.

But I can see the end result to be what you think; just played out a little differently. I see the story beat going from Urumin's side that she just crumbled from the thought of what she had done. If that's how the next chapter go, its just priming for Kimiya to make a grand come back on her B'Day after he recovers from her word (could be already right now but not shown or on his own after this) and take more shifts to get the fund.

That part reads to you like it's his thought as if he was a normal person/fan.

But he's not. He's a mega-otaku whose thought patterns don't follow common logic or human tendency. He'd happily be labeled a hosare-ota and continue on because there is nothing conditional about his actions.

Though everyone knows that. But I think its worth pointing out because his public actions and his internal thoughts are very much in line all the time. He has never deviated from this consistency, he isn't going to now.
