I really hope Sakurako gets her act together.

I get the gimmick the author's going for, but one can fail and flounder only so much before it stops being cute and starts to become embarrassing, especially since she's the one trying to be so tough - it feels less "oh she's trying to top but she's just a bottom" and more "she's talking a big game but is actually just incompetent", and it feels like a distinction with significance.

But, thank you for the chapter. Looks like another person's going to get fully mixed into this now, too.

I get the feeling the story is going the route of making Yuhi's other friends with benefits bad people to justify her eventually cutting ties with them. Chiwa was shown tracking Yuhi's location this chapter for example. It seems the relationships Yuhi formed with these other girls aren't actually carefree like Yuhi currently assumes them to be.

As for Sakurako, my prediction is that she'll eventually achieve her goal of breaking Yuhi's heart by accident. Like say if Yuhi becomes more invested in her and then Sakurako gets closer to her friend Saki or something.

i feel you, and i feel conflict with myself
-half of me wants to tell you to stay because it's only 5 chapters, nothing really happened yet, as if it's only an introduction, so ofc she has no growth, and because i kinda see its potential of going through a different path from regular "revenge" story
-the other half wants to let you go cause the potential aint strong enough to make any promise, and the amount of secondhand embarassment is... lol at least it's still somewhat fun

yeah Kuwabara's skill is decent and safe even if she made a work like Zenkowa, so i think your prediction could be true

if it do turn out to be exact that, i dont think it will be bad thing, i believe i would find this series overall has enough skill and humour to be a good recommendation for everyone

Sakurako's great. She's an awkward, bookish nerd who wants to be a toxic gyaru yuri protagonist but who's too much of a romantic and has too much lingering affection for the target of her obsession to actually do anything genuinely hurtful to her. As a result we get absolute queen shit like thinking taking her quasi-girlfriend to the park to play fetch with a frisbee is a reasonable thing to do after thinking "I want to make her my dog."

That said, I always root for the most toxic character in toxic yuri, so I'm throwing my lot in with the new girl. The Chiwa train is leaving the station and I've already booked a round-trip ticket.

that's a good read on it. It's only 5 chapters, which is less than half what I will usually give any given title before making an actual judgment on whether I'm gonna keep going with it.

It's just sometimes difficult to get through these first bits where characters are still trying to establish themselves, when such intense second-hand embarrassment aspects are involved like this.

I do absolutely agree with your prediction of "she'll accidentally really hurt Yuhi", though. I imagine she'll get Yuhi actually invested in and committed to her, and she'll do the same, and then some random incidental occurrence will break Yuhi's heart after she finally feels like she's found a good, healthy relationship, and that'll be what leads into the final act of the story for them where Sakurako has to scramble to mend things, and have to use all the tricks she's picked up along the way in doing so.

I kinda wish the author just picks one path and run with that instead of the thing that keeps happening where she attempts to be master and keeps fumbling. She was about to be kissed but stops her cos she wants revenge, but she also wants her to fall for her without giving in to the affections to would make her fall for her.

So what keeps happening is the same thing now since the last chapter where in the chapter's end she's the one looking like the bottom of this relationship to the point where the love interest has acknowledged it.

I really hope this gets more interesting the next coming chapters with the introduciton of the new character.

Chiwa isn't actually a new character. She's the girl from chapter one that Sakurako complained that Yuhi brought to their meeting spot.
