@Torappu a 540/65R30 agricultural tire (weights about 240 pounds) will cost about that much used. The one used in this is even larger.

Tire that size are expensive because of profit margins. Car tires are cheap because they're relatively standardized, so they can produce a lot compared to what they cost to R&D. When you get into non-standard sizes, such as high-spec racing tires, or heavy machinery/agricultural tires, they cost a lot more because the production is smaller. It might cost 300$ of rubber, but you have the R&D to pay for too. And unlike car tires, you might change your tractor tires maybe 2 or 3 times in its lifetime if they don't spend time on the road.
