I wouldn't classify this as shonenshit given it's got the awareness and grit of a seinen manga, but still trapped to the shonen format of power scaling (which isn't so bad in this manga's case). Dandadan bridges the two age demographics pretty well.
What I'd classify as shonenshit is Fairy Tail, where you really have to turn the nitpicking part of your brain off to enjoy it.
im just not into battle mangas overall, it sort of just blends together for me, and I can't tell whats going on

i dont knock anyone who likes it though, more power to them!
my original point was that even someone allergic to battle mangas is constantly drawn in again and again by the great and hilarious characters and relationships in Dandadan. Not to mention the artwork.
